For nearly 20 years, Castlethorpe had no local pub or meeting place. That changed when the Parish Council asked the residents what they wanted and the answer was their own Community Space where they could meet up for a drink and something nice to eat.
I offered to project manage the build of Pavilion Café Bar – from foundations to fixtures, I gave it everything, and the village gave back.

After a few bumps in the road, I took the reins fully. Now it's a proper family-run venue, a business built not for profit but for purpose – to give our community a place it deserves.

The Pavilion is powered by people – from the team behind the bar to the locals who keep it alive.

The Pavilion is a modern purpose-built café and bar with soothing decor reflecting the heritage of the village, comfortable seating and air conditioning — the perfect place to meet friends.

For the kids

We keep our little guests entertained with Pavilion colouring packs featuring Pavi & Leon, plus family-friendly seating and space to roam. High chairs, crayons, and fun? Always available.

Dogs Welcome

We're proudly dog-friendly.
Water bowls, biscuits, and belly rubs all included.
Our garden is a great place for your four-legged companions — and our team always has time for a woof and a wag.

Pavi & Leon

They're not just part of the logo — they're part of the place. Pavi & Leon are our mischievous black-faced sheep and the unofficial mascots of Pavilion Café & Bar.
You'll find them popping up on signs, chalkboards, kids' colouring books, and soon… in a storybook. They represent what we're all about: cheeky, welcoming, village through and through. Read their tale here.
